Self-awareness is the sexiest thing you can put on. Everything you put in, or on, your body is a reflection of your current awareness about yourself. How your body responds to you is a reflection of the awareness and mindset you have about your body.
Since I moved to San Diego a year ago, my eating and workout habits slipped quite a bit. As a result, over the past year, I have put on fat, lost muscle, and have been feeling less than energetic. Sometimes, just the thought of going to the gym was exhausting enough for me.
Fast forward to now. I have been back in the gym for a week and I’ve become aware of how quickly my body responds to exercise. I am waking up at 5am with a pep in my step. The abs that got covered over by several pounds of chocolate desserts have begun to make an appearance again. The deflated watermelons I have been carrying around at the top of my legs have already begun to firm up.

An awareness in one area can affect how we respond in all other areas of our life. Case in point, my writing.
I have been desiring and saying for years now, “I write daily for my readers to enjoy.” Since I first wrote this affirmation years ago, I have still yet to write daily…until today!
Moments before sitting down to write this, I became aware of how I am now responding to writing. It was not hard at all. My mind and body responded quickly to my new habit. Now I that I am aware of how quickly my body responds to new habits, new habits are easy to form and I get results quickly.
You can too. What is that last awareness you had about yourself? How can it transfer to other areas of your life?
